Independent label Glassnote Records has added London-based pop duo Ider to its artist line-up, Music Week can exclusively reveal.
The group, comprised of Megan Markwick and Lily Somerville, are the latest act to join the UK branch of Glassnote Records, which is currently home to artists such as Flo Morrissey, Lawrence Taylor and Childish Gambino.
Liz Goodwin, managing director of Glassnote’s UK, office said: “We are very happy, proud and excited to working with Ider - not only are they unique and musically & visually creative, but they are also wonderful people. We are already discussing lots of exciting ideas and looking at great moments to plan out for the rest of the year and beyond."
Company founder Daniel Glass added: “The textures and moods Ider create with their music is incredible. My love for the band was taken to another level when I saw them live at Kamio in London. Their stage presence and harmonies were hypnotic. We are proud to welcome Megan and Lily to the Glassnote family.”
Since the release of their debut single Sorry last year, Ider have amassed over two million streams and have garnered praise from the likes of Wonderland, DIY, Stereogum, Pigeons and Planes and The Line Of Best Fit. The trakc also featured as Huw Stevens’ Track of the Week on his Radio 1 show.
