Sony Music UK has named Naz Idelji as its new director of compilations.
Idelji’s new role incorporates her current position as head of Ministry Of Sound Recordings Compilations. She will report to Nicola Tuer, COO, Sony Music UK.
"This is an absolute honour,” Idelji said. “I am literally taking on my dream job and to be working for an inspirational female leader like Nicola, who believes and supports creativity and originality, is the icing on the cake. There will be plenty of challenges this year but I believe that great products will always stand out in any market. We have an incredible team of curators and creatives as well as a brilliant support system around us at Sony Music – and so I look forward to a very exciting future.”
Idelji joined Ministry Of Sound Recordings in 2013. During her time there she developed such brands as Anthems and The Annual, whilst spearheading new collections including Throwback and I Love.
Tuer added: “Naz is one of the true rising stars in the industry – so I am totally thrilled at her new role. She has a track record of achievement for launching and delivering clever, innovative compilation brands. She is smart, insightful and, undoubtedly, the premier executive in this area of the music industry. She is in a different class. I know she will be a huge success.”
