PPL chief executive Peter Leathem has hailed the “tremendous success” of the organisation’s largest ever international collection and outlined plans to encourage “global growth” in neighbouring rights revenues.
The collection society has revealed its total international royalties for 2017 reached £49.6 million, a 3% increase on the previous year.
The money is distributed to labels and artists based on recorded music broadcast on TV and radio internationally, as well as public performance royalties and private copying levies.
