Polydor's new presidents: 'We'll take risks and break artists'

The new team appointed to run Polydor Records is determined to take the iconic label back to the top.

Tom March and Ben Mortimer have been made co-presidents of the Universal label, replacing outgoing Ferdy Unger-Hamilton, understood to be Sony-bound via a JV. Mortimer steps up from his current role as Polydor A&R director, a position he’s held since 2012, while March joins from Virgin EMI, where he has been general manager since 2013.
