Proper Music MD Drew Hill has told Music Week that physical sales are still crucial for the industry in the streaming era.
Hill said the distribution company had its best ever Q4 at a time when the overall market is down. Sales were up 15% year-on-year in value terms.
“We had a huge Q4 and a really strong end to the year,” said Hill. “November was the company’s biggest ever month since we started.”
