The music business was celebrating another big boost to music consumption in Q3, after even a slow summer release schedule failed to dent runaway growth.
BPI figures show Album Equivalent Sales (AES) grew 11.1% over Q3 2016, slightly below Q2’s 12.5% increase, but above Q1’s 10.7%. Streaming surged another 47% over the quarter and now accounts for well over half (56%) of all music consumption.
