Independent dance label R&S Records has signed a distribution deal with Believe Digital. The agreement includes digital distribution, video management, digital & trade marketing, neighbouring rights and sync and covers all download and streaming services worldwide, excluding Japan, US and Canada.
The Belgian label was founded in 1984 by Renaat Vandepapeliere and Sabine Maes.
“We’re delighted to be able to welcome R&S Records to Believe and strengthen our remit on dance and electronic music,” said Ben Rimmer, director of UK distribution and label services at Believe (pictured).
“We’re looking forward to working with them across their fantastic catalogue, with an initial focus on key releases including Nils Frahm’s Nonkeen project, and Lone’s highly acclaimed new album.
“R&S have a long and prolific history working in independent music, and it’s great to be able to work with them as they continue to sign and release pioneering electronic music.”
Vandepapeliere added: “I’m extremely happy to be starting this new relationship with the guys at Believe. From what I have seen so far they will do a great job in representing R&S and our associated labels.”
