Robomagic offshoot Robotunes to release first music

Robotunes, the record label offshoot of Rob Hallett’s multi-faceted Robomagic firm, is set for its first release later this month.

The debut EP by urban punk duo Nova Twins – Amy Love and Georgia South - is due out on August 19. It features tracks such as Bassline Bitch, Drums and first single Hit List.

“When the Nova Twins arrived in all their snarling glory on my Facebook page I thought to myself, this I have to see,” said former AEG Live president of international touring Hallett, who launched Robomagic at the start of 2015. “Combining my love of punk rock, hip hop and live music, The Nova Twins are the true independent women of their generation and they can play.”

Nova Twins head out on a UK tour this month, beginning at Green Door, Brighton, on August 12.

Robomagic is currently riding the quest of a wave after two successful festivals over the last few months. Nile Rodgers’ FOLD festival took place over three days in June at London’s Fulham Palace and featured CHIC performing each day with guests such as Labrinth, Beck, John Newman and Alison Moyet. Elsewhere, ski, snowboarding and electronic music festival Horizon took place in Bulgaria in March and was the best-attended event in the festival's history.
