Warner Records has named Jason Heller as SVP of business & legal affairs. Based in New York, Heller will report to the label’s EVP and head of business & legal affairs, Julian Petty.
“Jason is a tremendous addition to our new team at Warner Records,” said Petty. “Over the past 17 years, both in the label world and in private practice, he’s helped forge agreements with artists at every level of development, from up-and-coming talent to superstars. I’ve negotiated against him on several deals throughout the years and witnessed his legal prowess firsthand. Jason has a fantastic reputation across the music and legal communities, and I’m very happy that he’s come on board to help us make Warner the place where artists’ rights are fiercely protected and their dreams are realized.”

Heller comes to Warner Records from RCA Records, where he was VP, business & legal affairs. During his time there, he worked with artists such as Childish Gambino, Khalid, SZA, Miley Cyrus, G-Eazy and Britney Spears.
Prior to joining RCA in 2007, Heller was an associate at Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP, where he practiced intellectual property law and represented major record companies and publishers.
