British Summer Time (BST) Hyde Park has unveiled a series of accessibility improvements ahead of this year's festival.
The AEG Presents-promoted event was awarded the Silver Level of the Charter Of Best Practice by Deaf and disabled access charty Attitude Is Everything in its first year in 2018.
Updates for 2018 include a more efficient booking system, continuous improvements to the operation of viewing platforms, improvements to British Sign Language provision and the newly announced Ticketing Without Barriers coalition.
Festival director Jim King said: “We are proud to be the first UK event to receive the Silver Level of the Charter in their first year, and we further this progress by announcing that we are a founding member of the new Ticketing Without Barriers with Attitude Is Everything. We hope to continue to make events inclusive to everyone.”
This year's edition of BST Hyde Park runs from July 6-15, with headliners Roger Waters, The Cure, Eric Clapton, Michael Bublé, Bruno Mars and Paul Simon.
