Elton John has added more European and UK dates to his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, with next year’s run set to start and finish at London’s O2 Arena.
Two nights at the venue have been added on November 2 and December 17, bringing the total number of shows in the capital to nine.
Dates have also been added across Europe, with the singer now set to play in in Cologne (September 5), Hamburg (September 12, 13) and Berlin (October 17, 18). Sir Elton will perform in Stockholm (September 18), Helsinki (September 22, 23) and Oslo (September 26, 27). He will return to Antwerp (September 8), Barcelona (October 2, 3) and Dublin (December 5).
The tour commenced in America last September and now passes its 124th show in Saskatoon. Tickets for the new tour dates go on general sale on Thursday, October 10 at 10am.
The three-year run will ultimately comprise more than 350 shows across five continents before concluding in 2021.
Elton John’s profile received a boost from the Rocketman film earlier this year, while his autobiography, Me, is published around the world on October 15. Last month, Royal Mail released a set of 12 stamps in tribute to the singer.
