Organisers of Wales' Festival No.6 have announced that this year's edition will be the last for the time being.
Since its debut in 2012, the award-winning Portmeirion event has hosted Pet Shop Boys, Manic Street Preachers, Beck, Grace Jones, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and Rag'N'Bone Man, among others.
Its 2018 edition will go ahead as planned from September 6-9, headlined by Friendly Fires, The The and Franz Ferdinand.
Outlining the reasons for the decision, promoters say the festival is "not sustainable" in its current format and the hiatus will give them the opportunity to plan for the future.
"Running Festival No.6 hasn’t been without its challenges," said the statement. "Portmeirion is a complex site and we’ve had fun adapting and reinventing the festival every year but unfortunately No.6 is just not sustainable in its current format and so we’ve made the difficult decision to take a breather – 2018 will be the last Festival No.6 for now.
"We will of course be throwing an almighty party this year and will make sure it’s the most outstanding No.6 to date."
