Retailer Fopp has partnered with face value ticket reseller Twickets to offer music fans an in-store drop and collect ticketing service, in a bid to steer gig-goers away from touts and extortionate deals on secondary ticketing sites.
The new service, aptly named Drop and Collect, allows people to trade tickets at face value in Fopp stores. Twickets’ fan-to-fan ticket exchange service will now provide those listing a ticket to deliver them to there nearest Fopp store. Customers will then receive a text alert and email when the tickets are ready for collection. A £2.50 handling charge will be applied per transaction.
The new service is currently up and running in central Manchester’s Fopp store on Brown Street, with a nationwide rollout expected by the end of the year.
