Gerry Cinnamon has sold out his biggest headline show to date at Glasgow's Hampden Park within a matter of hours.
The Scottish singer-songwriter will play the 50,000-capacity show at Scotland’s national football stadium on July 18 next year.
Cinnamon's current sold out UK & Ireland arena tour includes Scotland’s biggest ever indoor headline show at Aberdeen’s P&J Live Arena, ahead of two homecoming shows at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro Arena. He plays the second of two nights at O2 Academy Brixton in London tonight (November 15) and has upcoming arena dates in Liverpool, Leeds, Cardiff and Newcastle.
The 34-year-old independent artist's gold-selling 2017 debut album Erratic Cinematic, released via his own Little Runaway label, peaked at No.17 in the UK has moved 128,464 copies to date, according to the Official Charts Company. His forthcoming second album The Bonny is slated to come out in April 2020.
On the Hampden Park show, he said: “Hampden Park in the sunshine. New album under my belt. We’ll have that place rocking easy.”
Cinnamon played standout festival slots over the summer on the John Peel Stage at Glastonbury and Trnsmt in his native Glasgow, where he performed on the main stage before headliner Stormzy.
