The organisers of Glastonbury have confirmed the dates of the festival’s return.
The festival, which is taking a break next summer, will be back in 2019 when it will run from June 26-30.
On its official website, it confirmed that 2018 would be a fallow year “in order to give the farm, the village and the festival team the traditional year off” to prevent serious damage to the site. Its last fallow year was in 2012.
This year saw Foo Fighters, Ed Sheeran and Radiohead headline and the festival achieved record-breaking viewing figures on TV and online for the second consecutive year with 20.9 million tuning in for at least three minutes, an increase of 12% on 2016, when 18.7m tuned in.
