Kraftwerk to embark on first full UK tour in 12 years

Electro pioneers Kraftwerk have announced their first full UK tour in 12 years.

In what will be their first tour of the UK since 2004, the band’s shows will be set to a backdrop of 3D images, which they first unveiled back in 2013. They played each of their albums in full at a residency at London’s Tate Modern during that year, although this was not part of a nationwide tour.

Tickets for the upcoming tour go on sale on Friday, with the band set to visit Glasgow, Liverpool, Birmingham, Bristol and several other cities. The tour will come to an end with two nights at London’s Royal Albert Hall on June 21-22 2017.

Kraftwerk’s current line-up features Ralf Hutter, Fritz Hilpert, Henning Schmitz and Falk Grieffenhagen. Hutter is the only remaining member of Kraftwerk’s most famous line-up, following the departure of co-founder Florian Schneider in 2008.
