Kylie Minogue will play Glastonbury 2019, the festival has announced.
The singer will take the Pyramid Stage's Sunday afternoon 'legends' slot on June 30, which has previously been filled by Dolly Parton, ELO, Johnny Cash and Lionel Richie among others.
“I’m so thrilled to announce that I’ll be playing the ‘Legend slot’," wrote Minogue on Twitter, before recalling that she had been due to headline the festival in 2005 but was forced to pull out due to treatment for breast cancer.
"It will be 14 years since I was originally meant to appear there and so much has happened up to now. I can’t wait to see you all there to share this special show,” she explained. The festival appearance will cap Minogue's triumphant comeback, with her Golden album – her first for BMG – hitting No.1 earlier this year.
