Lewis Capaldi lines up 2020 arena tour

Lewis Capaldi has confirmed a run of UK and Irish arena shows for 2020.

The Scottish singer-songwriter plays Glasgow, The SSE Hydro (March 5), Dublin 3Arena (March 8), Cardiff Motorpoint Arena (March 11) and London The SSE Arena, Wembley (March 12). He also has a pair of dates at Manchester O2 Apollo (March 2-3).

The tour is jointly promoted by Live Nation, DF Concerts, MCD, SJM and DHP. Capaldi’s live agent is Coda Agency.

Capaldi has spent seven weeks at No.1 with Someone You Loved, though he’s facing a challenge this week from US rapper Lil Nas X.

The tour announcement comes ahead of his debut album, Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent (Virgin EMI), released on May 17. His November UK tour is already sold out.

Capaldi has announced that a new initiative, LiveLive, for those who experience anxiety or emotional difficulties. All proceeds from a compulsory 50p extra charge for each ticket goes towards providing a dedicated email address and team at each venue, who are trained and qualified in assisting with panic, anxiety or any other concerns fans may have.
