Liam Gallagher heads the latest wave of artist announcements for this year's Reading and Leeds in a UK festival exclusive.
The Oasis legend will perform second from the top of the bill, before Muse, at the August 25-27 twin events, in what are his first confirmed UK solo shows.
"It's true it's true it's really happening," tweeted Gallagher, who will also play slots at Germany's Rock Am Ring, Pinkpop in the Netherlands, Lollapalooza Paris, Benicassim in Spain and Bergenfest in Norway, among others, this summer.
Gallagher will release his first solo album this year after signing to Warner Bros. Records UK. His live career is guided by booking agent Alex Hardee of Coda Music Agency.
More than 90 other new acts have been announced for Reading and Leeds including Pvris, Vince Staples, Goldie, Bugzy Malone, Japandroids, Mura Masa, One OK Rock, Sub Focus, Declan McKenna, Black Honey and Kurupt FM.
