London Palladium appoints KOKO's Mike Hamer as venue manager

Really Useful Theatres Group has appointed Mike Hamer as venue manager of the London Palladium.

Hamer joins from Camden's KOKO, where he has spent the last 11 years. As well as his extensive venue background, he has also been involved in Glastonbury and V Festival.

Really Useful Theatres Group MD Rebecca Kane Burton, who was VP and GM of London’s The O2 before joining Andrew Lloyd Webber’s company in 2016, said: “The appointment of Mike Hamer is yet another key appointment in the new music strategy for the London Palladium. We’re so pleased Mike is bringing his wealth of experience to the world-famous London Palladium at such an exciting time for the venue.”

Hamer added: “I am thrilled to be joining the team at the London Palladium and driving the live music element forward at this iconic venue.”

The Palladium recruited fomer Roundhouse music chief Dave Gaydon as its head of programming earlier this year.
