Metallica have announced a series of UK arena dates as part of the European leg of their Worldwired Tour.
The tour, which is in support of their new album Hardwired… To Self-Destruct, kicks off with two shows in Amsterdam at the Ziggo Dome on September 4 and 6.
The band, whose last appearance on these shores saw them headline the 2014 Glastonbury festival, will arrive in the UK for two nights in London at The O2 (October 22/24), moving on to The SSE Hydro in Glasgow (October 26), Manchester Arena (October 28) and Birmingham's Genting Arena (October 30). Norway’s Kvelertak will be support for the run.
European dates have been confirmed all the way up to May 11, 2018, when the tour is due to climax at Helsinki's Hartwall Arena in Finland. No additional dates will be added.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, March 24.
