This Saturday will see the biggest Oxjam Dalston Takeover reach five venues across East London in a bid to raise money for Oxfam.
The line-ups have been curated by a number of Oxjam Dalston supporters. Mixcloud will bring DJ Simbad, Peachy (Stamp the Wax) and Dimensions Soundsystem to the booth in Farr’s School of Dancing; whilst Flying Vinyl, which has been curating new music through its vinyl membership club, will showcase acts such as Yassassin and Free Money at The Victoria.
At Dalston venue Birthdays, Miss Baby Sol will present a line-up of female talent, backed by an all-female band. The venue will also play host to a line-up of all-female DJs and collectives such as DJ Emily Rawson’s Rock the Belles and one of South-East London’s Born n Bread (pictured).
The festival will also see intimate venues such as Hammerschlagen host Serocee’s reggae and dancehall collective RUM n BASS; whilst the Servant Jazz Quarters venue will see online publication RAW MEAT present a programme of live music.
The full line-up and tickets are available on the Oxjam Dalston website priced at £8. Tickets purchased on the day will cost £10. One ticket provides access to all the acts across each of the five venues. Limited single venue access will also be available at some venues at £5.
Oxjam Dalston launched officially last month with a DJ set by Dark Sky and Friends at Dalston Roof Park. More than £3,000 has been raised so far towards its target of £10,000.
