London's Scala is switching to mobile ticketing as part of a new partnership with Dice.
The King's Cross venue wants to ensure its gigs are easy to discover and also keep tickets off the secondary market through Dice's technology.
Jane Cotter, events co-ordinator at Scala said, “Digital ticketing is the future of the music industry and this is clearly the next big step for Scala as a big London venue. Partnering with an innovative company like Dice means we can provide fans with easy-to-use tickets and most importantly the move will ensure our tickets don’t appear on the secondary ticketing market.”
Users of Dice are able to return tickets through the app to ensure that unwanted tickets go directly back into the hands of fans.
Russ Tannen, Dice's UK MD, said, “There’s nothing better than sitting down with the team that run one of London’s most iconic venues and realising they share the same values as you. In this partnership Scala are putting fans first and touts last by going mobile with Dice.
"Not only are they continuing to invest in diverse and groundbreaking programming across their gigs and club nights, but they’re vastly improving the fan experience of discovering and buying tickets to the venue.”
To celebrate the partnership, Dice and Scala are giving away 10 free pairs of tickets to 10 Scala shows, with forthcoming shows from the likes of JpegMafia, Phoebe Bridgers, Ryley Walker, Estrons, Boy Azooga, Poppy and Soccer Mommy all up for grabs. Fans can enter the competition via the Dice app.
