Days after revealing the release date for his long-awaited debut album Gang Signs And Prayer, grime superstar Stormzy has now lifted the lid on a 16-date tour of the UK and Ireland.
Kicking off on Wednesday, March 29 at Dublin Olympia, the Gang Signs And Prayer tour runs until Wednesday, May 3, closing with two nights at London’s O2 Academy Brixton.
Stormzy’s self-released album drops on February 24, with distribution from the Warner-owned A.D.A. After teasing the album’s release via billboards across London, last Thursday Stormzy dropped lead single Big For Your Boots via BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra and revealed the artwork on social media.
The release of Gang Signs And Prayer later this month looks set to further grime’s mainstream presence, following a breakthrough year for the genre in 2016. While Skepta’s Konnichiwa album scooped the 2016 Mercury Prize, the genre also received strong representation among this year’s BRIT Awards nominees. Skepta, Kano and Stormzy are all up for major awards on the night, with Skepta also set to perform live at the show.
