eBay-owned StubHub has become the first secondary ticketing site to receive the Sharing Economy’s UK’s TrustSeal.
The TrustSeal is an independently awarded kitemark that gives customers confidence that a platform upholds important standards to protect consumers online in key areas including help and support, secure payments and data protection.
“We believe that building consumer trust is key to ensuring that the ticketing industry remains open and is safe and secure for all consumers," said Wayne Grierson, UK country manager for StubHub.
"StubHub is proud to be the first secondary ticketing platform awarded the SEUK TrustSeal, in recognition for the efforts that we have put in to build trust among consumers and prevent fraud in the secondary ticketing market. Home sharing platform Airbnb, pet-sitting and travel website TrustedHousesitters and car rental company HiyaCar are also among the second round of firms to successfully meet the TrustSeal eight principles of Good Practice, following a rigorous application process and scrutiny by an advisory panel of independent, industry experts.
