The Great Escape has unveiled new additions to its convention line-up, with Live Nation UK president Paul Latham, Instrumental CEO Conrad Withey and BBC Radio 1Xtra’s MistaJam among those set to appear.
The convention, which runs across multiple Brighton venues during the festival between May 17-19, has added 25 more speakers and confirmed Vevo, AWAL Sessions and MistaJam as partners for the TGE:DIY programme.
The AI Conference will comprise a run of discussions putting the spotlight on technology used to automatically create music and videos.
FAC artist in residence Imogen Heap, Deviate Digital founder Sammy Andrews will be joined by Ticketmaster UK MD Andy Parsons to discuss artificial intelligence’s impact on music.
BIMM have been confirmed as lead education partner, while the Association of Independent Music (AIM) will stage AIM House, hosting panels, receptions and showcases at the Queens Hotel.
TGE:DIY day will feature panels, practical tips and advice for aspiring music business talent. Partners include: Vevo, Sentric, Metropolis Studios, AWAL Sessions, Loud And Quiet and The Exchange hosted by Mistajam and Live Nation Touring.
Music college BIMM will stage the school’s annual ‘BIMM Presents’ showcase at the Hope & Ruin, and will have over 50 street performers playing around the city. Students will also be working across the festival.
