TuneCore UK, a distributor for independent musicians, has confirmed key partnerships with three live music brands – ticketing firm Ents24, London promoter HotVox and live music marketplace BandWagon Gigs.
The new partnerships will aim to help TuneCore better support British artists, providing a range of services to support their work on the live circuit.
Neil Pollard, founder of Ents24, said: “As the UK’s biggest live guide, we promote events to two million live entertainment fans across the country every month. Our Backstage system provides a straightforward way for musicians and event organisers to list gigs, sell tickets and promote shows to that huge existing audience. By partnering with TuneCore, musicians who don’t already have distribution in place can get tracks online easily and quickly, helping ticket buyers hear their music in advance of gigs.”
Meanwhile, Matt Lockwood of HotVox, commented: “Our partnership with TuneCore is already generating excitement with the artists we work with – we are often the first point of contact for many emerging artists, and so being able to point them at a trusted company like TuneCore has great value.”
Stan McLeod CEO and co-founder of BandWagon Gigs added: “We know that navigating the music industry can be a steep learning curve, and knowing which companies can really benefit you is important. We have partnered with TuneCore because their straightforward and transparent approach to distributing music is perfectly in tune with what we believe – that musicians should have equal access to the opportunities they need to grow their careers.”
Sam Taylor, UK brand manager for TuneCore, concluded: “The UK has a rich history of live music and an increasingly buoyant live music sector. While distribution and digital artist services remain the core focus of TuneCore, we recognise that for many musicians playing live is an integral part of their careers. TuneCore UK is committed to empowering artists to grow their fan base and increase revenue opportunities.”
