Face-value resale ticketing platform Twickets has launched its official Facebook app for major artists including Ed Sheeran and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.
The function is embedded in participating artists' Facebook page and is accessible from a new "Ticket Resale" section on the main toolbar, introducing face value resale directly into the social networking site.
Acts who have utilised the app include Ed Sheeran, George Ezra, Noel Gallagher and The Streets.
"We're really exciting to be taking Twickets directly to Facebook users for the first time," said Twickets founder Richard Davies (pictured). "By embedding our app into artist pages it will aid the discovery process for fans previously unaware of an alternative to the abusive secondary ticket market. With over 150 artist and event partners to date this is a significant move, and we appreciate the continued support we receive from them all."
Twickets announced an integration with ticketing platform Eventbrite last November, which allows event promoters to opt in to the Twickets service, giving customers the option to buy and sell spare tickets at face value and discouraging overpriced tickets being sold on unauthorised sites. Twickets also launched in the US in October.
