The 1975 manager Jamie Oborne has told Music Week that 2019 is going to be “wild” for the band, who scored their third consecutive No.1 album last week with A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships.
“It’s a great feeling to have a third No.1 album in the UK and incredibly exciting to feel part of culture right now,” said Oborne.
“The 1975 are an absolute creative powerhouse. Now we have to finish Notes On A Conditional Form and get the world tour on the road. 2019 is going to be wild!”
A Brief Inquiry… notched 50,209 sales in its first week, including 8,800 from sales-equivalent streams. The group’s self-titled first album sold 31,538 copies on debut in September 2013, while I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It debuted with 58,378 sales in 2016.

The 1975 have made a splash with intimate shows in Kingston and London since returning from recording Los Angeles, where they worked on their fourth album, set for release next year.
The band were recently unveiled as headliners for Reading & Leeds Festivals in 2019, and embark on an arena tour in January.
