Amy Morgan has moved from Beggars Music to September Management, Music Week can exclusively reveal.
Morgan was promoted to MD at Beggars Music in February last year, and joins September to set up and run its publishing company. Morgan continues to manage Glass Animals and has taken on Bakar.
“Leaving Beggars Music after almost 10 years wasn’t an easy decision,” Morgan told Music Week. “I’m incredibly proud of the artists and team there, and Andy Heath, Martin Mills and the Beggars family are amazing people to work with and learn from.”
Morgan has welcomed the new challenge at September, where she will report to founder and CEO Jonathan Dickins.
“The opportunity to combine the management and publishing sides of my career and to start a new venture with Jonathan was impossible to walk away from,” she said. “I’m really excited about working with the September team to build our publishing arm from the ground up and for everything that’s to come with Glass Animals and Bakar.”

Dickins told Music Week: “I’m delighted that Amy has decided to join us. Her proven abilities as both a manager and publisher are rare and she will be an incredibly valuable addition to what we are trying to build here.”
Beggars Music chairman Andy Heath said: “We will miss Amy enormously, she was vital in making Beggars Music the most exciting new indie publisher in London, and was instrumental in building a brilliant roster of writers. I look forward to continuing to work with her in the future in her role as Glass Animals manager. September are very fortunate to be working with her."
Morgan headed up the creative side of Beggars Music, signing and developing acts including Hyundai Mercury Prize winner Sampha, Mica Levi and Glass Animals.
