Tap Management has made three new appointments to its team, following their success at the Artist and Manager Awards. Ben Mawson and Ed Millett were presented with the Manager Of The Year award by their artist client, Lana Del Rey.
The management firm has enjoyed success this year with a No.1 album for Del Rey and a breakthrough for pop act Dua Lipa. Tap’s roster also includes DJ Shadow and Angus & Julia Stone.
Dua Lipa is signed to Tap’s publishing division, along with Dermot Kennedy and writers Andrew Jackson and Ida Martinsen Botten. Tap also has plans to launch a label.
As a result of Tap’s expansion, Hannah Neaves is joining as director of marketing and artist development. She has previously worked on releases for Ellie Goulding and Haim at Polydor, and most recently as marketing director at Atlantic overseeing campaigns for Ed Sheeran and Charli XCX.
Anna Neville joins Tap as GM and director of business affairs. Currently in-house legal at the Beggars Group working across all the group's labels, she was previously a lawyer at SSB Solicitors and worked in marketing at Island Records.
Tap has also recruited Tony Beard from Maverick as senior manager. He has worked with artists including La Roux, Klaxons and Rat Boy.
Ed Millett said: "We have always believed in the independence of artists and that an empowered, small team around them was the key to their fulfilment, creatively and commercially. To that end, since starting Tap seven years ago, we have steadily added in services available to our artists to become as rounded a proposition as possible. With the advent of streaming we are now fully in a position to launch artists globally from a core in-house team. This will allow young artists the time to develop in confidence and only sign to bigger label partners when the time is exactly right."
Ben Mawson added: "Hannah, Anna and Tony all bring so much talent and experience and will enable us to provide a broader and better service to our clients."
