Various Artists Management launches US office

International artist management company Various Artists Management has launched a dedicated North American division, as exclusively revealed in yesterday's Music Week.

The company was founded in 2008 by David Bianchi, Nick Ember and Matt Luxon and has a roster including artists such as Charli xcx (pictured), The Libertines, Spiritualized, Tom Grennan and Barns Courtney.

Based in Los Angeles, Various Artists Management USA will be headed by Luxon who will be responsible for overseeing the consolidation of the firm’s existing relationships, creating new opportunities for the roster and developing new talent.

"A number of the artists we represent are currently achieving real traction in the US and having a dedicated office will allow us to further develop that success and create even stronger relationships with the American music business, brand partners and the associated creative industries," said Luxon.

Notable recent successes for Various Artists Management clients in North America include four US No.1s for Charli xcx as both an artist and a songwriter, several high profile movie and advertising syncs for Barns Courtney and Mstr Rogers signing to Ultra with more than 10 million initial streams on Spotify.

Dave Bianchi, co-founder and CEO of Various Artists Management, added, “We operate in a global marketplace and the US is the biggest market in the world. We have already achieved significant success and it makes complete sense, therefore, for us to have an operational presence there to help develop the careers and maximise opportunities for the artists we represent."

An exclusive interview with Matt Luxon features in this week's edition of Music Week.
