'We have some really exciting ideas': Sub Focus signs with Worship Artists

Management company Worship Artists has added electronic DJ and producer Sub Focus to its roster.

The firm, which was founded in 2017 by director Sebastian Weingartshofer, also represents Dimension, Culture Shock, 1991, MANT and Oliver Winters.

Sub Focus, aka Nick Douwma, is currently at No.63 in the UK singles chart with his Dimension collaboration Desire, which has current sales of 94,631, according to the Official Charts Company.

“I’m truly honoured to be working alongside Nick," said Weingartshofer. "His success under Sub Focus is unparalleled and his work has inspired many over the years and will continue to do so.

"At Worship we pride ourselves in nurturing a community of like-minded artists who strive for originality and innovation. Nick’s vision aligns perfectly with ours and I’m excited to help realise this vision in 2019 and beyond.”

Weingartshofer previously spent five years with Chase & Status’ record label MTA Records, working on A&R, management, product management, sync, events and digital marketing. He is also the founder of the underground promotional drum & bass brand, Skankandbass.

Douwma added: “Really happy to be working with Seb – he is a driven and exciting young talent with fresh ideas that aren’t grounded in old music industry conventions and he completely understands the underground roots of where my music comes from.

"I’m 100% convinced that Worship are the right people to help me realise my vision moving forwards and we have some really exciting ideas in store.”
