The Box Plus Network will return as the sponsor of the fiercely-contested Artist Marketing Campaign award category at this year’s Music Week Awards.
The 2018 ceremony will be hosted by returning presenter Lauren Laverne and take place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. With the Awards proving more popular than ever before, Platinum and Gold table packages have sold out. For any last remaining tickets, please contact eventsteamuk@nbmedia.com.
Last year’s Artist Marketing Campaign award category was won by Michael Ball & Alfie Boe (Decca Records). Decca/Ball & Boe will return to defend their title in this year’s ceremony – albeit for a different album, Together Again – and will go head to head with Big Shaq (Island Records), Lana Del Rey (Polydor Records), Paloma Faith (RCA Records), Gorillaz (Parlophone Records), J Hus (Black Butter Records), The Killers (Virgin EMI), Rag’N’Bone Man (Columbia Records), Ed Sheeran (Atlantic Records), Sam Smith (Capitol Records), Stormzy (#Merky) and Wolf Alice (Dirty Hit).
Many of this year’s shortlists have been extended to accommodate the high-quality submissions – and there’s plenty of tough competition among the finalists in the 22 categories. You can read a full list of Music Week Award nominees here.
Speaking about the agreement, a statement from Box Plus Network read: "We’re delighted to sponsor this award for the 6th year running. Music Week do a fantastic job and these awards are a great representation of all the positivity and forward thinking in the industry today. As a route to tens of millions of viewers for many artist marketing campaigns, Box is especially proud to continue our partnership on the artist marketing award.”
In March, Box Plus revealed new plans to reposition 4Music to target a mainstream 16-22 year old Gen-Z audience.
Box Plus will join PPL, OCC, Tape, MQA, Skiddle and Proper Music Group as sponsors for the 2018 ceremony.
