The BRIT Awards 2020 with Mastercard today has confirmed that The BRITs Are Coming TV special which will air on Saturday, January 11, 2020 on ITV.
The one-hour show will be hosted by Alice Levine and will reveal the nominations for the 40th BRIT Awards. Levine recently hosted the Music Week Women In Music Awards.
The BRIT Awards 2020 with Mastercard takes place on February 18 at The O2 in London, exclusively broadcast on ITV and hosted by Jack Whitehall.
This year’s ceremony is set for a big shake-up. As exclusively revealed by Music Week, the awards line-up has been slimmed down and artists will be given more creative freedom for performances.
Alongside the ITV shortlist announcement for Male Solo Artist/Female Solo Artist, Best New Artist, Best Group, Song of the Year, International Male Solo Artist/Female Solo Artist, and Mastercard Album of the Year award, The BRITs Are Coming will feature performances by Liam Payne, Mabel, Aitch, Freya Ridings and Dermot Kennedy.
Mabel features in the latest issue of Music Week as our Breakthrough Artist Of The Year.
Levine said: “I am so excited to be hosting The BRITs Are Coming launch show! I’ve watched the BRITs ever since I was a kid, it’s such a great night, and to be part of the celebrations for the 40th BRIT Awards show is an incredible feeling. I can’t wait to find out who has been nominated in 2020.”
The BRIT Awards Official Voting Academy has until December 17 to cast their votes.
Celeste has already been confirmed as winner of the BRITs Rising Star award.
