Gary Stein is stepping down from his role as managing editor of Heart London.

He joined the Global station in 2013, following 17 years at Bauer/Emap. Previous roles included programme director at Sheffield’s Hallam FM and programme and station director at Key 103 in Manchester. He was briefly Bauer’s director of music before joining Heart.

Richard Park, group executive director & director of broadcasting at Global, said: “Gary Stein has decided to leave Global at the end of this year. He’s moving back home to the north west to be closer to his family.”

A replacement is yet to be confirmed.
