This year’s BBC Glastonbury coverage could see the broadcaster top last year’s figure of 18.9 million viewers.
That’s according to BBC Music director Bob Shennan, who told Music Week that the combination of headliners Adele, Coldplay and Muse is a “box-office” line-up.
“Adele appearing is a big, big story for everybody,” said Shennan. “She’s never done Glastonbury before, but it’ll go down great with our audience. And Coldplay is an incredibly popular artist across a range of demographics.
