Industry big guns join MUSEXPO Europe line-up

By Music Week staff

A host of leading executives are joining the MUSEXPO Europe line-up.

The conference event, brought to you by Music Week in conjunction with A&R Worldwide, already had one of the strongest speaker line-ups of recent times – and it’s just got even better.

Virgin EMI president Ted Cockle – who helms the UK’s No.1 label, with a 10.3% market share of Album Equivalent Sales in Q2 – will appear on the conference’s opening global panel on September 19, The State Of The European Sonic Union, discussing the key issues for the music industry. Also just added to that panel is Julie Weir, label head at Sony’s Music For Nations and Ticketmaster UK managing director Andrew Parsons.

They join a stellar line-up that also includes BBC Radio 2/6 Music controller Bob Shennan; UK Music CEO Jo Dipple and Sony/ATV managing director, UK and president, European creative, Guy Moot.

Elsewhere, Decca Records managing director Rebecca Allen and Atlantic Records UK’s star A&R director, Alec Boateng, will appear on the September 20 Future Of A&R panel, alongside Glassnote founder/president Daniel Glass and BMG SVP Korda Marshall.

And Marc Robinson, president, Globe – creative & commercial at Universal Music UK will join Tuesday’s Marketing And Monetisation panel, looking at the importance of brand partnerships alongside the likes of Disturbing London’s Damaris Rex-Taylor and Iconic Artists founder Zoe Stainsby.

Other big names joining the MUSEXPO party across the two-day event include Tinie Tempah’s manager Dumi Oburota, Robomagic CEO Rob Hallett, artist manager and digital guru Sammy Andrews, PRS For Music CEO Robert Ashcroft, Live Nation UK president of touring international Phil Bowdery, UTA live agent Natasha Bent and Absolute Radio presenter Danielle Perry.

The closing night gala dinner will also honour Island Records’ president Darcus Beese with the European Executive Of The Year Award.

The conference takes place from September 18-20 at the Millennium Hotel in Mayfair, London. You can view the full schedule of events here.
