Island Records managing director Jon Turner has described the major’s June 1 industry bash on Osea Island as a “fantastic success”, telling Music Week, “it sets us apart from the rest of the industry”.
The 24-hour event saw 500 VIPs, from artists and managers to retailers and partners, head to the Essex island for an extravagant networking event and live performances from the likes of Sean Paul, Sigrid, Oh Wonder and Jack Garratt.
