BBC Radio 1 head of programmes Aled Haydn Jones has told Music Week that Greg James will bring a “passion for bands” to the Breakfast Show.

The job swap between long-term Breakfast Show presenter Nick Grimshaw and drivetime host James next month comes at a time when the network is facing “constant change” as it aims to deliver the “kind of content that young audiences want”, said Haydn Jones.
