MUSEXPO Europe: Today's schedule in full

With MUSEXPO Europe just about to get underway, here's a full rundown of today's schedule.

Kicking things off is the global keynote The State Of The European Sonic Union at 9.15am. This session will focus on the future of the world’s evolving ecosystem with a panel comprising Dipple, Moot and Bob Shennan, controller, BBC Radio 2, 6 Music, Asian Network and Director, BBC Music.

This is followed by An Insight Into The Current And Future Vision OF BBC Radio 1 & 1Xtra. This session will look at how the stations continue to engage with wide audiences, featuring insights from Ben Cooper, BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra controller.

Next up is The Evolution Of The Live Music Business In The Digital Age, which will bring together a number of leaders behind some of Europe's most innovative and successful events to recap on the 2016 European festival circuit as well as look at the future and discuss how they provide experiences that transcend the typical arena/club show and how promoting and marketing an artist, show, or festival continues to evolve from the music to the ticketing to the overall live experience and beyond.Panellists so far include Jobst-Henning Neermann, head of marketing and strategic marketing, KBK Konzert-Künstleragentur and Peter Smidt, founder and creative director, Eurosonic Noorderslag.

Then it's the Nordic Spotlight session, followed by a keynote interview with Electronic Arts (EA Games), in which Music Week editor Mark Sutherland speaks with Steve Schnur, worldwide executive and president, EA Music Group.

Bringing proceedings to a close on Monday is a session on the role of artist managers entitled The Unsung Heroes And How They Get It Done, which is followed by an evening of wine tasting, cocktail drinking and networking.

Tuesday will also see Island Records president Darcus Beese become the inaugural recipient of the European Executive of the Year Award at the event's closing gala dinner.
