New edition of Music Week out now

In the new issue of Music Week, we get the inside story on BMG as the company looks to build on its recent chart performance with major new releases from Kylie Minogue, A Perfect Circle, Rick Astley and The Prodigy. CEO Hartwig Masuch and new UK president Alistair Norbury explain why their company does things differently to the competition.

Also in this issue, Tinie Tempah sits down with Music Week in his Greenwich studio to talk business. The rapper reveals plans to emulate the success he’s had in his recording career – including seven No.1 singles and multi-platinum album sales – with his new management and publishing company Imhotep. His artist Not3s is already doing pretty well for himself on the singles chart.

In the live sector, we look at all the festivals now taking place under The O2 roof, following the latest instalment of Country To Country at the weekend.

There’s also a Hitmakers songwriting feature with Danny McNamara, who explains how he came up with All You Good Good People, the debut 1997 hit from Embrace (back in the Top 5 this week with their new album). Meanwhile, rock legend Rob Halford of Judas Priest is our subject for The Aftershow in this issue.

In the news section, music industry PRs give their reaction to the closure of NME’s print edition, we reveal a big publishing signing story in the UK urban scene and there are major developments at music and entertainment company Futurekind, following last year's JV with Sony/ATV
