New edition of Music Week out now

As the UK’s premier rock/metal event, Download Festival, returns this coming weekend, Music Week devotes a very special issue to all things rock.

Our cover story unites Live Nation's president of UK touring and Download Festival promoter, Andy Copping, with the bands of this year’s line-up for an in-depth roundtable discussion. He’s joined by You Me At Six’s Josh Franceschi, Bullet For My Valentine’s Matt Tuck, Marmozets’ Becca Macintyre and Employed To Serve’s Justine Jones to look at the past, present and future of rock’n’roll…

Elsewhere in the issue, we get the inside story of Guns N’Roses’ record-breaking Not In This Lifetime tour from the execs who helped make it happen. Plus, we speak to Mike Shinoda ahead of the release of his debut solo album, Post-Traumatic, a record that processes the loss of his Linkin Park bandmate Chester Bennington.

Also in this edition, we crunch rock’s latest numbers in the streaming world, plus there’s big news from PIAS and the Wembley Stadium team detail its summer season and talk staying ahead of the competition.

Pete Wentz talks about collaborating with J R Rotem for Fall Out Boy’s streaming smash Centuries in Hitmakers, we introduce you to rock trio The Regrettes in On The Radar and living legend Alice Cooper reflects on his life and times in music in this week’s Aftershow.

Sync Story looks at the link-up between BMW and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and Making Waves showcases Chelcee Grimes.

Plus, there’s all our usual enhanced news, new music, analysis, charts coverage and market share statistics.

The issue is available in all good newsagents now. To subscribe and never miss a vital music biz story, click here.
