New edition of Music Week out now

The new issue of Music Week is out now as we celebrate the 40th BRIT Awards.

For our cover story, we sit down with BRITs chairman/Universal chairman & CEO David Joseph and creative director Misty Buckley for an in-depth chat about how they’re reinventing the event this year. And that’s just for starters…

Also in our comprehensive BRITs coverage, we speak to the artists, producers and creative teams behind the Dave, Lewis Capaldi, Michael Kiwanuka, Stormzy and Harry Styles records that are up for the honour of Mastercard Album Of The Year. In news, BPI boss Geoff Taylor addresses the diversity issue for female artists in the nominations – and hails the line-up of UK talent and international stars.

Elsewhere in our BRITs special, Benny Scarrs and Jack Foster tells us how they started their mangement company and record label, Neighbourhood, and how their relationship with Dave helped make him a star. Plus, BRITs director of events & charities, Maggie Crowe OBE, relives some of her career highlights in The Aftershow and legendary PR and BRIT Awards committee member Jonathan Morrish explains why the awards are still hugely important in 2020...

In news, BBC Radio 6 celebrate their RAJAR triumph and there’s a big announcement from BMG while in Hitmakers, producer Conducta tells the story of AJ Tracey’s massive hit Ladbroke Grove.

Rising South London soul star Joy Crookes is showcased On The Radar, Somethin’ Else producer Zosia Morris is this week's Rising Star and Absolute Radio’s Danielle Perry shares her favourite new sounds in Tastemakers.

Hip-hop hopeful Kida Kudz is in Making Waves, while Sync Story focuses on the link-up between The New Pope and Sofi Tukker.

Alongside all of that, there’s all the very latest news, charts and analysis.
