BBC Radio 1 chiefs breathed a sigh of relief as the station picked up listeners in the latest RAJAR figures.
The Q3 listening stats gave the BBC’s flagship pop station a reach of 9.873 million, up 4.4% on Q2. The figure was still down 6.5% year-on-year but Radio 1/1Xtra head of programmes Rhys Hughes (pictured) said the result showed the figures had stabilised after several successive declines.
