Tech that: First speakers revealed for Music Week Tech Summit 2019

A host of top figures from the music and technology worlds have been confirmed for the second Music Week Tech Summit together with O2

The summit returns to The O2 in London on Tuesday, October 8 and is already shaping up to be an unmissable event. Early Bird tickets priced at £99 +VAT (a saving of £70) are available until 5pm on August 12.

We are delighted to reveal some of those who will be providing the agenda-setting panels and keynotes. Speakers will include Jackie Wilgar, SVP, marketing at Live Nation; Josh Nicoll, head of independent label services at SoundCloud; Sebastian Simone, head of digital at Warner Records and Cliff Fluet, MD of Eleven and partner at Lewis Silkin.

Also appearing will be Deviate Digital CEO and Music Week columnist Sammy Andrews; Paul Sampson, CEO/founder of Lickd; Diid Osman, head of artist relations and venue partnerships at Peex; Diego Farias, CEO and co-founder of Amuse and Tom Nield, co-founder of Landmrk, with many more big names still to be announced.

Josh Nicoll said: "SoundCloud is the premiere destination for creators and artists, and the platform where they can discover innovative ways to build their careers. I'm excited to discuss and explore SoundCloud's unique perspective and the platform’s continued efforts to empower the next generation of global creators and how they utilise technology and new forms of intelligence at Music Week Tech Summit 2019."

Cliff Fluet, MD Eleven & Partner, Lewis Silkin, said: "I'm delighted to be part of Music Week's Tech Summit to show the audience and the music industry at large more about the incredible  solutions offered by Artificial Intelligence and how it can enhance value for consumers, business and platforms."

Paul Sampson, CEO and co-founder of Lickd, said: “I agreed to take part in the tech summit because I think the commercial music sector is at a crossroads with the UGC platforms. With Article 17 (nee 13) passing and with Facebook and Instagram increasingly offering monetisation to creators in line with the YouTube model, we have a decision to make as an industry about enabling legal licensing for consumers on these platforms.”
