BRITs boost sees weekly sales up

The first full chart week after the BRITs has seen a post-awards boost, with both singles and albums up week-on-week.

The same chart last year was released in the immediate wake of the annual awards bash, as well as incorporating streaming for the first time.

Overall singles sales are up 0.32% week-on-week at 9,096,465. Discounting streams, which accounted for 7,134,264 sales, 78.43% of the total, that's actually a 2.87% increase week-on-week.
