UK showcases make their mark at SXSW
Showcase events from the BBC and SBTV helped boost the UK’s presence at South By South West (SXSW) in Austin, Texas.
BBC Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens handpicked the six acts for his Best of British showcase in partnership with PRS for Music.
It featured sets from hip-hop artist Loyle Carner, soul-pop’s Clean Cut Kid, alt-pop artist OSCAR, indie-alt artist Declan McKenna, post-punk band Girls Names and dirty-pop band Get Inuit.
