Q4 Week: Alexi Cory-Smith on BMG's Q4 line-up

The year 2016 proved to be a breakthrough for BMG’s fast-growing recordings business with a platinum-seller from Rick Astley and a No.1 album from Blink-182.

This year we’ve turned things up another notch with a Top 10 breakthrough from The Sherlocks, a wonderful return to form from Blondie with Pollinator, the hugely successful Ska Anthems compilation, Alt-J’s Mercury Prize-nominated Relaxer and the critical smash from Sparks, their highest-charting album in 42 years, Hippopotamus, among many others.

As we enter the fourth quarter, there is even more to come with incredible interest already in new albums from Morrissey, Fergie and Chris Rea, the emotionally-powerful War Horse and a string of catalogue reissues with BMG’s customary quality and attention to detail.

BMG clearly now offers the biggest and most diverse catalogue of recorded music outside the majors. We do so with a commitment to become the best company in music to do business with.

Our artist and songwriter clients make the music, but it takes an army of retailers and digital services, radio stations, TV shows, journalists and bloggers to bring that music to the public.

We thank you all for your attention and support. Great music deserves an audience. Great artists deserve a hearing. With your help we will continue to bring great music and great artists to market.
