Grammy award-winning Adele has signed to US music rights organisation SESAC for representation across the pond.
The news came from John Josephson, the chairman and CEO of SESAC Holdings, Inc., who expressed how excited the company are to be working with the singer-songwriter, who is the music industry’s top-selling artist of the decade.
"We are humbled and grateful to have been selected to represent Adele’s performing rights in the United States," said Josephson. "With each new release, she surpasses her own prior record of achievement and confirms her place as a global superstar in a category all her own.”
They’ll have plenty to manage with Adele having released three albums over the last nine years - 2008’s 19, 2011’s 21 and 2015’s 25, which collectively have seen the Brit sell over 100 million records, and receive 130 awards, including Grammys, Academy Awards, Brit Awards and Golden Globes.
